Impact Printers is committed to making sustainable choices for the future of our environment.

We’re reducing chemical use. In recent years, we’ve implemented computer-to-plate (CTP) capabilities. This technology means we no longer use film negatives or harmful chemicals associated with film developing. In addition, Impact operates a chemistry-free plate system for all plate production. The system uses a thermal process followed by a wash, completely eliminating hazardous chemicals traditionally used in plate production. Waste and exhausted metal plates are used for scrap metal, never discarded.
We’re recycling and repurposing. As anyone could expect, a print shop will have an abundance of paper in circulation at any given time. We do our best to reduce the amount of paper being used to produce your projects. And what we can’t save, we recycle. Although recycling paper, and in turn using recycled paper, is the best way to minimize impact on our forests – it’s not a perfect system. Studies show the world’s paper demand is greater than the volume of recycled content available. To address this need, Impact Printers is certified by the Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC). As a print buyer, you can ask for FSC certified paper and be assured your project is produced using paper from a responsible source.
Being green doesn’t have to be hard. Let us help you take the first step. We’re excited to share our green practises with you.
